Last Night at the Proms

To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE-Day, Curtain Call Creative presents the Last Night at the Proms at Shanklin Theatre on Saturday 10th May, in aid of the Royal British Legion. Expect a stirring evening of powerful music, song, and words, commemorating the heroes who gave their all for King and Country. 

A 40-piece orchestra, led by conductor Andrew Woodford, will take to the stage, joined by a distinguished compere and the talented students of Curtain Call Creative, to mark this historic occasion. 

From the wartime classics that kept spirits high such A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and We’ll Meet Again, to the rousing anthems of national pride with Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem – this promises to be an unforgettable evening. The programme also features Nimrod, Cavalleria Rusticana, Fantasia, and the moving theme from Saving Private Ryan, ensuring a night that both honours the fallen and celebrates the triumph of peace.
