Ventnor Theatre Group Presents Oklahoma!

Ventnor Theatre Group Presents for their 40th Anniversary  Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma!

Set in 1906 just before Oklahoma became a state, at a time when farmers and cowmen were fighting over fencing and water rights. It tells the story of Laurey Williams the niece of the town matriarch Aunt Eller, Ranch hand Curly McLain and Jud Fry a sinister farm hand who both happen to be in love with Laurey and both have a desire to take her to the box social, the highlight of the social calendar.

Oklahoma smashed all box office records when it opened and went on to become one of the most popular musicals of all time.

The show is filled with unforgettable songs, including:

Oh What A Beautiful Mornin’,

The Surrey With The Fringe On Top,

I Cain’t Say No, People Will Say We’re In Love

The Farmer and the Cowman and of course Oklahoma!
